Hancock County Career and Technical Center celebrates completion of its newest building

The Hancock County School District Board of Education joined Superintendent Alan Dedeaux and Dr. Rick Saucier, Hancock County Career Technical Director, recently to celebrate the completion of the newest building at the Career and Technical Center. This facility houses two Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) experience computer labs, the early childhood education classroom and the Hawk's Nest, a state licensed early childhood program for the 3- and 4-year-olds who are on site each day. The new facility also houses the welding, construction and carpentry classrooms, along with the Career Pathway Experience classroom, which currently has 32 students working in the community to receive real life, on-the-job experience. The building was designed with ample Internet technology to take the school far into the future. Hancock County Career Technical Center serves Pass Christian High School and Bay High students as well as Hancock High. Classes offered at HCCTC include Auto Service; Construction/Carpentry; Early Childhood Education; Career Pathway Experience; Drafting; Culinary Arts; Health Science; Lodging and Hospitality; Metal Fabrication; Polymer Science; Robotics/Engineering; Teacher Academy and Welding & STEM.
