State/Local workforce partners present workforce services update to Stennis Space Center industries

August 19, 2015

More than thirty industry and workforce partners gathered for a luncheon on August 18, 2015, for an update on the many services and funding sources available to new and existing industries at the state and local levels.  Industry participants included Rolls-Royce, Aerojet Rocketdyne, PSCI, Triple I, SAIC, ASRC, MSET, NASA, NSSC, and BayTech, with presentations made by the WIN Job Center, PRCC Workforce Development, Mississippi Careers of Tomorrow, the South Mississippi Planning and Development District, and the Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission.  Industries were updated on job placement, advertising, screening and e-Verify services, on-the-job training grants, high tech on-the-job training grants, training services and funding available for train-the-trainer, custom industry training courses, and training travel, leadership training programs, human capital development programs, and area relocation information for new and transferring employees.  The informational slideshow that was presented is available here for all industries interested in visiting or revisiting that information.
