Port Bienville Railroad receives Industrial Award of Excellence

At the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce Business and Industry Awards Gala on Nov. 4, Port Bienville Railroad received the Industrial Award of Excellence.

The 14 men and women who work the railroad process nearly 7,500 loaded railcars each year on the 16 miles of track. Their efforts support 16 companies that employ nearly 600 people at Port Bienville.  The railroad interchanges six days a week with CSX, moving numerous commodities for port tenants including steel, chemicals, pipe and plastics.
