Stennis Airport accepting bids for new hangar project

February 14, 2022

Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission will accept bids until March 15 for a five-bay hangar project at Stennis International Airport.

The project calls for the design and construction of a new 18,660-square-foot hangar with dimensions of approximately 311 feet by 60 feet. The hangar will have five bays with bi-fold doors intended for aircraft storage only.

“Business interest and hangar demand at Stennis International Airport remains high. The five-bay hangar will expand our portfolio for general aviation and corporate customers wanting to base their aircraft at Stennis,” said airport director Chanse Watson.

Electronic or sealed bids will be accepted until 2pm CST on March 15 at 14054 Fred & Al Key Road, Kiln, Mississippi 39556. Bids received after that time and date will not be considered.

A pre-bid meeting for the project will be held on March 2 at 10am CST at the Stennis International Airport, 7250 Stennis Airport Drive, Kiln, Mississippi 39556. Prospective bidders wishing to join via teleconference may call 1-877-431-8639 (PIN 982-713-9178) at the scheduled time.
