BUFFER ZONE

Stennis Space Center prioritizes the safety of the surrounding communities. This commitment was realized through the 125,000-acre acoustical buffer zone, which effectively mitigates the noise and vibration generated during powerful rocket engine testing.

The buffer zone ensures the safety and well-being of nearby residents while allowing the center to continue its vital role in propelling American space exploration forward.

ENTERPRISE PARK

To propel space commercialization forward, Stennis Space Center launched the Enterprise Park initiative in 2020. This strategic program aims to attract and integrate commercial aerospace companies into the center's ecosystem, fostering a dynamic environment ripe for innovation and collaboration.

The initiative has resulted in two project-ready sites, offering businesses prime locations to co-locate alongside NASA and industry leaders.
