Million Air FBO Hosts Grand Opening for New Terminal

April 30, 2015

(Kiln, MS) - Million Air Stennis cut the ribbon on the new Stennis International Airport terminal earlier this month and hosted employees from across the Million Air network at its Hancock County location for an evening of festivities.

The new terminal facility replaces a building constructed as a school board office in the 1970s that previously served as the airport's terminal.

"We expect this facility will take Stennis International Airport at least 40 years into the future," said Stennis International Airport Director Bill Cotter.

The two-story, 10,000-square-foot terminal houses Million Air, who serves as the Airport's Fixed Base Operator, as well as the airport's administration and third-party tenants. Million Air occupies the terminal's first floor, which consists of two passenger lobbies, a sleep room for pilots, a meeting room and a small movie theater, and much of the terminal's second floor, which features Million Air's Jet-a-Way Café and a viewing area overlooking the airfield, which allows guests to watch plane arrivals and departures.

The new hangar attached to the terminal features 22,000 square feet of aircraft storage with seven large workshops and twelve 144-square-foot offices.

Million Air Stennis is owned and operated by Freeman Holdings Group, Million Air's largest franchisee. Freeman Holdings CEO Scott Freeman said the addition of the new terminal at Stennis International Airport makes the airport one of the most attractive stops in the Southeastern United States.

"It's a wonderful airport in a great location and with excellent runways, taxiways and ramp space," said Freeman. "The only thing it was missing was a first class FBO facility. It has that now in a very big way. The building architecture, design and décor are as impressive as you will see anywhere in the country."
